+ Funny interactions with NPCs and memorable lines are sprinkled throughout the world. The world is simultaneously humorous, colorful and brutal - the description I'd give DOS2 as well, but this game leans more into humor. + Compared to the many current dark fantasy games, this one has a lighter tone, which I enjoyed. Still, it wasn't annoying or out of place. I cared more for some of the side stories than the main cast. There is a bit of a mystery, some dark moments, some silly moments (like a love triangle in the middle of it all). The story of DOS is engaging enough, although I would say it didn't make much of an impact on me. This made me appreciate Larian Studios even more, seeing how they built upon their foundation and improved, crafting the legendary DOS2 that I will be replaying forever. I played this game after DOS2, which has definitely influenced my impression of it, because I could clearly see all the things DOS2 did better. To me personally, it doesn't have the same replay value as DOS2, but for the current price it is a very good deal.
